Quality Control and Design Issues I purchased two of the half ounce kits that come with replacement baits, one hook and one weight. 1) The baits are too soft and continually slide down and bunch up on the hook and they do not hold up to repeated punches through a grass matt or Spatterdock pads they are also too small for the hooks that come in the kits. 2) The weights worked fairly well in the pads but in the matted grass one weight came apart pulling my bait out of a clump, the wire just came out of the back and the weight was lost. The other weight suffered the same fate while fighting a fish. As the fish jumped and shook the wire came out and the weight was lost. I think this system shows promise but the baits need to be made of a tougher material, the hooks matched to the baits for size, and mostly a better way of putting the wires in the weights so that they will not come apart. Improvement needed I hate to say it because BPS usually does a good job of putting out quality merchandise but this one missed the mark. I was a little disappointed with the size of the sinker (compared to the photos). The 1/2 ounce size isf a monstrosity. Maybe if they made these with a tungsten weight, the package would be better. The wire does not stay in the sinker either, which will probably cause you to lose some of them. I won't buy any more of them until some improvements are made. June 22, 2010
meh Not terribly impressed with this. Concept is great, execution is not. Bait is hollow which made it easy for the hook/weight to get pulled out while working through underwater branches. Ended up losing the weight. A solid bait would have more staying power to hold the hook and the weight in place. Disappointed overall. August 2, 2012
Awesome Bait I fish a lot of park lakes and they get extremely weedy in the summer due to their small size. This bait seems to slide right through the weeds and present itself to each fish that is waiting behind the next set of weeds. You never know when it is going to get bit.......but it usually doesn't take long. May 31, 2011
