Works Great I read the other reviews and decided to give this a try and I was not disappointed. This is one of the better black lights i've used, no it will not light up the bank from 20 feet away it does provide a wide area that will light up your line. If you keep your expectations realistic you won't be disappointed. August 23, 2012
Great buy Light works well the suction cup base could stand to be more stable though August 22, 2012
Don't waste your money. UV light output is dismal at best, maybe 15 feet. Suction cups don't hold well and adjustment screws don't hold tight so the light is constantly needing adjustment. Very dissapointed and will exchange it as soon as possible. July 30, 2012
Nice I purchased a second unit for the back of my boat. They are not as bright as drop ins but are very effective. I dropped one in the lake and it floated and no water got inside the light. The suction cups could use some improvement. Used them for 5 hrs and they were still bright and seemed to have plenty of charge left. If not for the poor quality of the suction cups I would have given them 5 stars. July 18, 2012

What line do I need?

Details:
I just bought this light for catfishing at night. Took it downstairs into the dark basement to see my line 'glow like 1/4 inch rope', and nothing. I'm using Berkley Big Game in 20# test. Do I need a special kind of fluorescent line to get that glow? That was the whole point for buying it.

If you use Stren Clear Blue Fluorescent line, it'll glow pretty good.

I bought a toy bow and arrow set and modified the tip of the arrows with glue to work for me . Had to look around before I found a set with what I believed to be acceptable cups though . Then I bought an extra set too . Because toys come and go . Hope that helps out . Good luck and tight lines .

A:
I own this light and it has about the same lumens as the old night stalker III. The advantage is that the LEDs allow much longer use on a charge, 7-8 hours of continuous use.
A word of warning, do not let this unit get wet. It is not sealed and the inner reflective surfaced become coated in some type of pink substance which runs down by the leds and diminishes the reflectivity.
