Rated 4 out of 5Â by fishingJP $15.00 pays for a lot of fun!
I purchased 2 of these little reels to replace a couple of Diawa US40XD reels that did not work so well. I liked the tiny light so much that I went back and purchased the little combo. I have a small fishing pond in my back yard and family and friends visit often with kids that want to fish. The reels are easy to use and the kids have yet to destroy them after 2 seasons. I would say this reel has been $15.00 well spent.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Disappointeduser Worst design ever
I purchased this reel for a back packing trip. It broke on the 4th cast while I was out in the middle of no where. The cast button snapped. It looks like a defective design. I have used a Zebco for years with no problem.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by caetam Great little reel
I have purchased 4 of these after buying two earlier this year. The whole family wants to use this reel. Last time out I landed a nice Northern Pike with it. The drag worked perfect and I was able to tire it out and get it to the net.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was it comes with cheap line that twist up and your casting is impacted by it. With good line it wil cast a long way.
The picture is my son with a crappie hew landed with this reel.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AllFish so far so good for my 3 yr old
I was looking for something my 3 yr old could cast more easily than the push button reels and found this. It is small and he seems to get the concept of releasing the trigger better than releasing the button on his sponge bob reel. Bottom line is he casts much better, so he likes it. I really like it too, it casts very nicely and is a great transition before an open spinning reel.

you can switch it to either. The directions don't say how to do it, but it's made to be switchable and it's easyA:Â
it can be changed to eather side left or Right. just unscrew and move to the side you want.A:Â
It's both. The reel comes with instructions on how to switch over from right to left and back again.A:Â
Yes. The standard is left handed. If you want to change to right handle, just open the screw, and swap the handle.Top 100 Contributor

Unfortunately for us it does not say if it is available in left hand retrieve, however, all other underspin reels on the market, to my knowledge, are interchangeable from right to left hand retrieve. So I would guess that it is interchangeable as well. May have to call Bass Pro and speak with an associate in the reel dept. Hope this helps.AllOutdoors
