Rated 5 out of 5 by nach0 great reel
i was wanting to try to get my self a nice little pan fish spinning reel when i saw this one. this is the first tiger spin iv ever purchased. i matched it up with an old 5 1/2 foot diawa ultralight rod i had in my garage spooled it with 2# bass pro tourney tough and works flawlessly for the small pan-fish and baby cats at my local river, excellent purchase.the real is so smooth i thought it was one of those 30$ reels when i first used it.

First, let me say I fish a lot, and I have purchase many reels over the years. I would have given these reels 0 stars if it were a choice.
I bought two of the BPS Tiny Lite reels two weeks ago in hopes that my 5 year old daughter could use them while we crappie fished on our local lakes in North Georgia. I must say, these reels are pure junk. The fishing line is constantly getting tangled inside the reel up under the trigger mechanism.
I literally took these reels fishing twice this weekend. One tore up on Saturday and then the other bit the dust on Sunday afternoon. Neither will even turn now. I will be sending both back to BPS.
My son learned to use spinning tackle with a Zebco and Pflueger under-spin reel. i think I will try one of those for my little girl. Don't waste your money on these. I would definitely spend a little more and not cheap-out like I did.
