First, let me say I fish a lot, and I have purchase many reels over the years. I would have given these reels 0 stars if it were a choice.
I bought two of the BPS Tiny Lite reels two weeks ago in hopes that my 5 year old daughter could use them while we crappie fished on our local lakes in North Georgia. I must say, these reels are pure junk. The fishing line is constantly getting tangled inside the reel up under the trigger mechanism.
I literally took these reels fishing twice this weekend. One tore up on Saturday and then the other bit the dust on Sunday afternoon. Neither will even turn now. I will be sending both back to BPS.
My son learned to use spinning tackle with a Zebco and Pflueger under-spin reel. i think I will try one of those for my little girl. Don't waste your money on these. I would definitely spend a little more and not cheap-out like I did.

Arrived just in time for the fishing trip I had planned, reels were ordered for my grandson and daughter who had never fished before.
Both reels performed well and they caught several fish using them without any tangles or birds nests.
Definitely good value for money.

Reel is reversible so can be used either left or rightA:Â
you can switch it to either. The directions don't say how to do it, but it's made to be switchable and it's easyA:Â
it can be changed to eather side left or Right. just unscrew and move to the side you want.A:Â
It's both. The reel comes with instructions on how to switch over from right to left and back again.A:Â
Yes. The standard is left handed. If you want to change to right handle, just open the screw, and swap the handle.Top 100 Contributor

Unfortunately for us it does not say if it is available in left hand retrieve, however, all other underspin reels on the market, to my knowledge, are interchangeable from right to left hand retrieve. So I would guess that it is interchangeable as well. May have to call Bass Pro and speak with an associate in the reel dept. Hope this helps.AllOutdoors
