Rated 4 out of 5 by Good enough Pretty good buy. Can't find another at this price. Quality seems good enough. Does not come with screws or bolts. Description says " Kwik Connect". Still haven't figured out what this refers to. I do like that you can easily remove both seat and post, leaving a virtually flat area to sit on, or recline on the deck. August 18, 2014

I used bolts as I have acess to the area under the seat. I used 1/4 x 10 size, but 5/16 would be best.

We recommend the use a of a 300 series (stainless steel) size 12 or larger flat head fastener. The length of the fastener is determined by the thickness of the surface it is being mounted to.

You are thinking of the "hi-lo" seat by Springfield? I think. This one as far as I can tell must be used with the post attached to seat.

With the 238 series you have to buy an extension post to fit between the seat base and the floor mount.
