This game needs binoculars. Also you need to be able to track a shot/ wounded animal. I hate the fact you can't track it after it runs off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa824 LOVE this game!!
Santa gave this to my son for Christmas and now I'm the one who's addicted to it!!! It's funny because if he's in the room with me when I'm playing it and he talks, I'm telling him to hush as if they....the animals....can hear him, lol. I really get into it. I've never gone hunting but, I grew up with a lot of hunters in my family....so, I never thought I'd get into it...guess it's in my blood, lol. I'm about 3/4 done with the game and I'm #1 on the leaderboard so far...woohoo!!! I'm one happy camper!! :)

Played the game twice, amateur and pro. Got to the reward hunter's paradise. What a let down. NOTHING to do there. Just open hunt that isn't nearly as good as open hunting any of the other areas. There are no trophy animals to find or even a hidden shack or two. No points, claims, incentives....nothing. They should have at least put in randomly placed shacks and trophy animals. . Something to look for. It would have been easy to relocate them each time the area is accessed through random generation. Put at least something in there worth doing.
what a let down. The game is done after playing it twice. I'll probably never use it again.

I love this game! I got it for Christmas. I love the animals in it. My favorite part would probably be the King of Bucks deer in it. Oh and the gators. We have a great time with it on rainy days. I will get so into it, I have to walk away to remind myself that the deer in the game won't be hanging on my wall. It's fun, I recommend it 100%!

Can you use the wii remotes from the previous verison of the The Strike and the Hunt.I see the new versions (Tournament Editions of the The Strike and the Hunt) have different remotes

The new devices shown are just the motion plus remotes. I am playing with the original remotes that were bought with my Wii when it was first released. I did have to do a software update for the Wii itself but it was probably past due.A:
I think so. You just have to stick the Wii remote in the peripheral device and sync it to the Wii. It should be useable with any peripheral device (the functionality of the device may limit the gameplay experience if it is not meant for that type of game...ie: a baseball bat peripheral will not work well in a bowling game but is compatible with the Wii remote.) Since they are both fishing controllers I think they will work though. Good Luck!1 of 1
