Rated 5 out of 5 by ShallowWaterAngler New Changes For A New Season
The first four seasons of The Bass Pros have all revolved around the same formula. First- fishing in 4, second- In depth, and third- Art of Angling. This season is different.
Rick Clunn and Jason Quinn are no longer on the show (Actually I don't think Quinn was shown on anything but the intro for season 4.), and since Clunn is gone, so is Art of Angling.
Replacing Quinn and Clunn are Jason Williamson and Brian Snowden.
The new format starts with Fishing in 5- an extra minute, which wouldn't sound like much, but it's a 20% increase in the segment time so the anglers are able to go more in-depth.
And speaking of in-depth, the longer In-Depth section is still in place.
Replacing Art of Angling is Bass School 101. Assuming it's one minute shorter than Art of Angling (since fishing in 4 is now one minute longer), 101 varies topics from lure selection, reel maintenance, selecting rods, jig types, cleaning lcd screens, and many more that I can't recall. No fishing in this segment except in one that was about pitching vs. flipping I think(wasn't any fishing when it was Art of...)
Like season 4, season 5 is placed on two discs instead of one (like on the first three seasons).
There are no extras with season 5.
I have some quips about the season, things I don't like about the season a much, but I'm still giving this five stars due to the fact that the show is both educational and entertaining, covers a wide variety of topics, and is probably the best pure bass show out there.
Overall, I would rate this as one of the better seasons.
