Love the spigot for draining oil or water (once cooled),60 qt size gives the option of large, medium,or small batches of whaterever u choose to boil or fry.Gauge of aluminum is quite sufficient without being heavy. Also love that the basket comes with this size for a decent price. The lid is lightweight but it s just a lid.

I upgraded from a 40 QT pot to this 60QT. This allows me to brew larger batches and stronger beers.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Brewmaster Nice pot for the price!
Pot and basket are nice, lid is a little cheep looking but its just a lid. There is no hole in the lid as the picture suggests. Also, the measurements in the Q&A are not correct, it is about 16.5" wide and about 17" tall. For the price, you can't beat it.

What gauge is the steel? (assuming you mean the guage of the stainless steel pot) 1.5mm which is aprx. 14.5 guage. ThanksA:Â
Not sure of exact guage, but it is pretty thin.Details:Â
Im referring to the stock pot with spigotAnswers

like a large coffee urnA:Â
The size of the nut that covers the opening is 3/8 inches but the opening size is smaller. We have used a fryer with our spigot and the opening flows well, not just a trickle as long as there are no left over food chuncks in the oil that might block it when it gets down to the bottom. Does BPS sell the same pot but without the basket?Answers
A:Â
The basket is not mandatory, item38-614-961-36 is a similar pot with just a poultry rack.

just indentations on bottom of pot.If using as a boil pot use small veggie or fruit cans sans the lables.A:Â
No, nothing between the basket and bottom of the pot for boiling purposes. It comes with a separate grid that lifts the basket off the bottom of the pot for when you want to steam something. No spaceThanks

Yes the bottom on the spigot is threaded on the end and it comes with a cap for it. It looks to me like its a 5/8-18 but I don't have anything to verify that with. It does fit a 7/8 wrench.Details:Â
I would like to know the dimensions of this item, specifically the diameter and the height. Thanks!Answers

The base of the pot is about 16.5" wide, the outer rim at the top is about 17" wide. It is about the same tall.1 of 1
