Its OK. However,the hook remover 38-427-499-00 provides a better grip on the hook, but is a bit short. 38-426-240-00 costs more, but is a better, longer tool.

ive had several different pairs but this is the only stainless ones the others would rust and eventually become unuseable

These keep your fingers out of the toothy critters mouths. It also helps get the hooks out of the gill areas with out hurting the fish. I'll never go back to needlt nose pliers
