Excellent Product for the money. They really took safety into concern. With the wide secure base it will not tip over. 20 minute timer is a great safety feature. Excellent product i expect to have it for a long time.

We just love our new Turkey Fryer. Not only is it high quality, we love the style of it. I bought it telling my husband we were going to fry turkeys in it, and we did. It was great. I did not tell him that we were also going to brew beer in it. Whoo hoo. We can't wait to use it for that. The stainless steel pot is perfect and easy to maintain the heat temperature. We did not have a leaky spout and was easy to put together. Great product.

The burner with this system is by far the best that I have ever owned. It produced enough BTUs to heat oil in 45 degree weather and produce a beautiful bird. I will echo the usual complaint about the 15 minute timer. Discounting this annoyance, the unit was easy to assemble and use.

It states it has adjustable safety brackets. How adjustable are they? Do they slide down so that I can use my skillet? or other pots that are larger in diameter.Answers
A:Â
They slide a little but are very easy to remove.A:Â
You can unbolt them and move them down, or remove them. These are your only options.Top 250 Contributor
A:Â
Your skillet will probably work at the lowest setting for the brackets, but with a skillet there is no "tip over" danger, so you can just as easily remove the brackets. To use a bigger diameter pot, you will have to remover the safety brackets.

I don't know about disconnecting, but I use electrical tape to keep it in the on position.A:Â
Set at about half way and tape over the handle with duct tape. Works like a charm!Details:Â

I'm interested in this for boiling water. How long does this burn until the timer turns it off?
Answers
A:Â
15 minutes unless you tape the timer to the on positionA:Â
20 mins with timer. UNlimited if you do the blog suggested thing and duct tape it at about 10 mins.A:Â
Cycle time for timer is around 20 minutes. If the timer is not reset within around 20 minutes, the burner will shut OFF automatically. If this occurs, please follow lighting instructions and continue to cook.Details:Â
I ask because if you use the steamer insert that comes with this and put the steamer basket on top of it inside the pot and then add water right to the bottom of the steamer basket, you cannot put the lid on top of the pot.Answers

, stainless, or cast brass? Also, does it heat up fast? Thanks.Answers
A:Â
Stainless, but cast iron would be better. It heats up to 350 in about 20 mins.A:Â
This does come with a cast iron burner. Its does heat up quickly.A:Â
Cast burner, seems to heat up very quickly, yes.A:Â
Cast. It takes a bit to heat up, but once heated it stays hot for hours. Excellent heat retentionQ:Â

Can anyone tell me how the aluiminum hot tub turkey fryer compares to a stainless one..Cleaning, wear etc..
Answers
A:Â
Stainless much better for wear and cleaning. Also this one has the spigot for easy oil/wter drainage.Top 250 Contributor
A:Â
Stainless steel is much easier to clean upA:Â
I recommend the Stainless. It is a little stronger, and keeps the heat better when placing the turkey in the fryer.A:Â
I can tell you I own both aluminum and stainless steel. I never use the aluminum because of the ease of cleaning the stainless steel. I use the stainless steel quite often and its holding up with no issues. If you get the stainless steel, you will not be disappointed. If you get the aluminum, you'll regret it. There is no difference between the two as far as I'm concerned other than cleaning. Bottom line, you get what you pay for.1 of 1
