Yes, it will work for Woman. The chest size might be a bit larger. Example a S/M 32"-40" for mens and a womens should be about 33"-36". See size chart online.Details:Â

I always order a size larger than normal. With the adjustable straps I can put on over a medium weight jacket or sweatshirt in the early spring or fall. Order the next size up.A:Â

I am 5'9 and weigh 200lbs and can fit in a L/XL comfortably if that helps. A XXL would be to loose for me. Not sure about the S/M though.
