Rated 4 out of 5 by great turtle rod we cought 2 25 pound snapping turtle at the same time and the rod hardly bent. paired with the bass pro snagging special level wind reel with 65 pound spider wire stealth camo braid. but the only thing is it makes you feel really dumb using the thing because its like a pole cue. this is great if you have stupid turtle laws and need this to catch turtles. Rated 1 out of 5 by don't bother...... i bought this to snag steelhead and salmon with the chuck and duck method, dredging the bottom. I eventually saw this as the stupidest, skilless method you can use. the fish you legally snag do not bite the lure, you snag them. there are guys legally fishing and I felt like a moron cheating the fish and snagging them. nice rod, but the whole idea of snagging steelhead made me feel guilty. I would like to be able to use this rod with a fighting belt and a gimbal would make that a lot easier. Can a gimbal be installed on it?

A:
I would recommend against it.

To do so the rubber butt cap would need to be removed and the proper size gimbal added. Unless someone really knows what they are doing they are going to ruin the rod.

A:
i believe it could be..
