Bass Pro Shops Side or Flush Rod Holder Mounts
O.k. to hold a rod
Here is a case of getting what you pay for. Seem to be fine if you're just holding a rod but did some trolling with dipsy divers and decent sized spoons and the bolt to tighten the holder in place (the swivel point for positioning at different angles) slipped. So we tightened them up and cracked one. The other popped the slide out and had to be popped back into place. Seem to be fine for drifting, but don't put 'em to the test with anything pulling against them. Makes me wonder what's gonna happen when a decent fish strikes!?! I would recommend this product to a friend with the above stipulations.

very good purchase
I recently purchased flush mount rod holder mounts for my Tracker boat. I installed 4 to give me the most versatility. I have used them to troll for stripers and walleyes the last two weekends. They held the Bass Pro Shops rod holders very nicely and did not present a tripping hazard. They were not hard to install but I did upgrade the hardware to 1/4-20 bolts. ( which also stiffened the gunwale). Money well spent.

38-425-978-00 Flush Mount Holder
I bought the RodBass Pro rod holders for my NEW 170TX. I wanted to be able to mount these flush on the back corner panel, so I also purchased the flush holders. After drilling and mounting 2 of the flush holders I tryed to install the rod holder into them, OOPS they don;t fit. The splines on the holder do not match the splines in the flush mount base. Very Upset With this as i have already mounded 2 of the flush adapters on my boat.

Recently installed these
I recently installed 4 of these on the sides of my bass tracker. They work fine, but i would recommend buying a few sheets of rubber at the home improvement store if you plan to use when mounting on a boat. I cut out the rubber to mutch the size of the mount, then cut out a hole in the middle and smaller ones for the screws. Put this between the mount and the boat and the seal has been watertight and working well ever since.
