Wide fit Guides looked great out of the box and assembly seemed very easy until I started to install them on my Karavan trailer with my Boston Whaler Montauk 170. The guides stick out too far so I had to modify the brackets that hold the guides so that they are closer to the trailer frame. Took an hour but finally got them to work pretty well. July 30, 2012
Great Addition ! These guides went on great, even though there was just about a 1/4 inch room to mount it. The existing brackets on my trailer were taking up most of the room at the trailer frame, but it went on great, with the boat still on the trailer ! Because of all the ways you could mount this, it was no problem at all ! December 31, 2013
Great Product Put these on a 19 foot Tidewater Bay boat. I was having problems getting the boat to load evenly, and fished by myself most of the time. Problem solved, product worked just as advertised. May 18, 2013
Good Buy Excellent addition to my trailer. Was having trouble loading my boat in wind, but now it's a snap. Need deep well socket for fast and easy installation. Open end wrench will wear you out! October 24, 2012

Anyone have a link to.. or copy of the instructions? I think my wife ( probably, really ME):)threw them away! I could use a quick look at them to make sure I know the best options for mounting.

Thanks in Advance,

A:
As long as you have a Box or C-channel frame up to 3" inches wide and 4 1/2" inches tall, you can use it. It adjusts from the trailer frame 13" inches out also. There is alot of ways to mount these guides.

I would use the long one if I were you. I used this on my 16' jon boat trailer and have been trouble with it pushing out. I need to weld another brace to hold it in place. Your answer is more than likely it will.

I used a couple of oak scrap as spacers to make the main u-bolts sit snugly. I placed them so that the horizontal tail runs along the underside of the rear cross member of the trailer. Then I secured that tail to the cross member with a 2"x4" u-bolt from a hardware store. It is solid!
