recieved a gift card for a birthday gift, never shopped here before so i thought i would try them. bout the only thing is the shipping is fast, the rod holders leave something to be desired. poorly made, either 2 right sides or 2 left sides, so one has to be mounted behind the other instead of across from each other. the screws are the wrong size, rod holders dont seem to be too secure in the base, and the construction is flimsy.
i would rather drop $20 a piece for some decent ones at the marina store.

These rod holders work great for what they are, but they need to have a taller mast between the floor and the holder, because when installing them on the flush mounts, there isn't enough room to use them with the longer handle fishing poles.

Could use some improvement on the cam lock handle, roll pin fell out during instalation, had to put small machine bolt and nut to take care of problem.

The design is nice and the price is great, but the plastic is cheap and not very strong. I first used them to hold my rods while anchored. They worked fine. The second time I used them I trolled 16oz weights. About 2 seconds after I put my rod into the rod holder, it broke off. Luckily I was standing right there and I reached into the water to save my rod. Hey, what do you expect for something so cheap? I would not recommend them for trolling. If that is fine with you, then go ahead and get these.

Yes, you can mount them on any flat surface, and on any hull material; plastic, fiberglass, steel, aluminum, wood,... anything. And, you'll love the adjustments built in to them, and dollar for dollar, you'll love the value and quality even more!A:Â
Yes you can mount them. However it would be a good idea to put a Finish on the inside felt lining, It tends too wear out with the water and abbration.Other than that a Great product.

The holders rotate 360 degrees so you can mount them on either side of the boatA:Â
The rod holders and 360 degree adjustable, and can be used on either side of the boat.A:Â
Once you have installed the base and inserted the holder, lift the holder slightly and rotate in any direction that you want.A:Â
They mounted on both sides of my boat just fine.A:Â
The rod holders I purchased has the notch on the rod holder where it faces up and down the boat when you insert it into the holder. Therefore, it locks facing either way off the boat and works on either side of the boat.Thanks.

They use standard threads. 3/8 for the L'il ones and 1/2 for the Pro ones so if Scotty uses standard threads, yes.
