I installed this panel in a sailboat cabin, so there's no need for waterproofing. The switches had rubber covers to keep water out, but I tore them off since they'd only make them hard to use. They came off fairly easy, so I can't imagine they'd be all that effective over years of exposure to water if you used the panel for an exterior application. If you want to use this outside, be prepared to add some of your own silicone sealer around the switches/fuses/meter/etc. to help make the panel last.
The switch lights are quite a bit brighter than a similar panel I have right next to this one. Probably good for a bright sunlight area, but maybe too bright if you want to sleep at night in a cabin with some of the switches turned on.
The battery meter isn't very sensitive. 12V puts the meter's little needle in the middle of it's range, 6V puts it half way up, 0V would correspond to the needle not moving. If you want to know if your battery is down a little bit (like maybe 11.5V), don't expect to read small changes with this meter. This meter was the main reason why I bought this panel, so it's performance was disappointing. (I bought another dedicated digital meter and will at least be able to use the toggle switch on this panel to select the battery for it to display.)
The cigarette lighter has a neat option to display an external light when plugged in, but the light is rather weak.
The panel I got had round fuse holders that screw in and out, instead of the square fuse holders shown in the picture I saw, but I like the round screw holders are better, so that's a plus.
OK panel for the price, will probably work just fine for me, but not great.

I purchased this last year, installed it in the side bulkhead of my boat. Operates the nav lights, deck lights(lots of night fishing) and pump. Works perfect and is good quality. I must have the upgraded version because I have the rubber boots and decent fuse holders. I checked it out good before I purchased. i have been an electrician for 30 years and this passes "MY" inspection, for whatever that is worth. One note is my boat is not stored outside so it doesnt see the daily elements. I did use some clear silicone between the back plate and the bulkhead, which should prevent water from entering the back.

I bought one a couple of years ago and couldn't get two of the terminals to work. Returned it for a replacement. That one didn't work right.
I didn't have time to make another 90 mile round trip back to Bass Pro so I had to deal with the new one. After examining the schematic, it was obvious that the replacement panel wasn't wired correctly. I fixed the problems and the panel worked okay for three years. Now, that one is cooked due to corroded switches.
I'll replace the panel again but won't use this junk.

I'm guessing not. 12V puts the meter in the center of the range. 24V will likely peg the meter to the top of it's range, so it probably won't burn the meter out, but it'll be a poor use of the meter.1 of 1
