Anything from 3/0 thru 5/0 EWG worm hook will be fine. I really like BPS Magna Super Lock hooks.The smaller the hook, the more the worm will shimmy and wiggle. If you are fishing the slop or flipping/pitching heavy cover go 5/0 or 6/0. Use a bullet weight and a glass bead to protect your knot. I also use a bobber stopper about a 12" from the hook to keep the weight near the worm on the bottom. Keep it on the bottom and shake it once in a while. Move it slowly with 2 revs of your reel. Stop and shake it just a bit. When your fishing buddies tell you that you are fishing too slowly...slow it down some more. It's boring...but it works.

I love these worms they are the best I tried them all calpit, power worms, gulp and the only ones that comes close to being as good are yums for color selection I still stay with ribbontail and there are 18A:
