Time and Hand saver! Works great! I usually strip my line by wrapping the line round and round on my hand and that takes forever and sometime cut's the circulation off to my fingers after several times around! This reel stripper works awesome and was a great purchase, GET ONE! March 16, 2011
It's a need to have! I love gadgets and can't help myself buying any and all of them... most of them are huge disappointments but this is a GEM! This is a need to have for any serious bass fisherman! It’s strips the line from the reel in double quick time. July 18, 2007
Reel Stripper This is the second type of reel stripper I have used. The first one I had for a while had greater speed but slipped a lot. This one is a bit slower but does not slip, so in my mind it is more reliable. A good product for a good price. August 20, 2012
Great Product This handy little gadget is a must have for the avid fisherman. It strips line in a snap, and sure beats the heck out of pulling line off by hand. Especially if your doing multiple reels in one sitting. Great Produce!!! Att !! June 4, 2010

A:
No it will not, if the line is looped down in the reel carriage. This tool is for getting old line off the reel quickly. I do not take all the old line off, I stop about 3/4 down the spool and using a special knot I tie the two lines together and respool.

A:
The only help this unit will offer for taking out a bird's nest will be to hold the reel in position as you hand strip the line. The battery operated stripper supplied most likely will not eat the bird's nest so you are left to strip it off by hand. If you stop when the nest is gone, the remaining line will be left on the reel.

A:
Yes, just keep the bail closed and loosen the drag and it simply removes the line with no problems.
