Does what it says. It's not fancy or expensive, but it sure beats shucking line by hand! It worked well for me and emptied the reel quickly. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to save some time! September 4, 2010
Great Tool! Use to let the kids pull all the old line off reels to get them involved in the maintanence side of fishing. After a couple of seasons I could tell they were getting tired of it so I added one of these to my last order for grins and giggles. Works like a champ and will take a couple hundred yards of line off very quickly. They love it. August 18, 2010
Great Buy This works great, nice and small, easily stores with reels and line or in tackle box. July 13, 2010
Reel stripper I purchased this because I have bad hand cramps . It"s an inexpensive way to go. So far it seems to work OK. However, I noticed the hook sharpener stone is soft and is wearing down fast. June 16, 2010

A:
The only help this unit will offer for taking out a bird's nest will be to hold the reel in position as you hand strip the line. The battery operated stripper supplied most likely will not eat the bird's nest so you are left to strip it off by hand. If you stop when the nest is gone, the remaining line will be left on the reel.

Yes, the battery operated stripper will certainly work on a spincast reel.

A:
Yes, just keep the bail closed and loosen the drag and it simply removes the line with no problems.
