This is a great buy. Its really cheap for being so good. If you ever need to strip some line off a reel or sharpen a hook, it will get the job done fast.

In a pinch
Good little device for keeping in your tackle box for those moments you would rather forget. If you use it full-time be prepared to invest in some of Energizer's stock because with the amount of money you'll spend on batteries you will own part of energizer. This stripper goes through batteries VERY quickly.
GREAT for small useage but for bulk stripping invest in a better model. The liitle built-in LED light is GREAT for finding your car keys in the dark after you dropped them because you did not get in off the water before sundown!!!

This line stripper is an awsome value and can strip a reel in very little time. The first time I tried it I was in a hurry and needed to change out my line quickly. WOW what a surprize. Then there is a bonus light built right into the light. You just never know what that will come in handy. This unit is smaller than most others I have seen and does more.
The fact that it runs on only 2 AA batteries is also great because many other brands take 4aa batteries.

Great tool !
I am not a tournament fisherman! But like most other fishermen I do have more than one rod and reel! And when you need to change line on three or four or even just one reel, it's nice to be able to get the old line off and the new line on quickly, so you can go fishing, not changing line! I purchased this little line stripper thinking it would be just an other cheap gadget that probably would end up in my junk drawer! But to my amazement it stripped line off my reel in about thirty seconds, I was amazed a how butifuly it worked. I also tried the the hook stone, but it did not work to well, but the only way to sharpen a hook the right way is with a hook file anyway, the led light is a bonus, not sure when it would come in handy, but you never know! All in all, a great tool for the novice and seasoned pro to have in their tackle box!
