If you want to keep your reels and string clean
while also protecting them from UV damage this
is the product for you.I clean and oil my reels
only a few times a year and am a little slack
on changing line more then twice a year the

getting in to do damage. They look good, they
are easier to use then whiskey bags, some
what water proof and fit with out haveing to

Why the bias...
I absolutely hate the fact that there is no version of this product made for those of us that prefer the handle on the Right-hand side. Even if they consider this a Left handed person specialty item, they very well could offer one on the website that can be used to protect my spinning reels OR make a universal one. The reel cover for their baitcaster works regardless of preference for a left or right hand retrieve.
I still give it 3 stars and if they had a model available for handles mounted on the "Right-hand" side... it would certainly be a 5 out of 5. Luckily my wonderful woman is handy with a sewing machine and was able to alter mine... BPS could learn a thing or two here.
That being said I would HIGHLY recommend this product if you keep or use your spinning gear with the handle on the left side.

I got the reel covers for my spinning reels at the same time I got the rod socks. They work very well to keep the reels clean and help keep the rods & reels from becoming tangled.

I use these to cover all my reels even my large Shimano Baitrunners. The front of the cover streches a good bit. It only works on reels with handles on the left, but to try to answer your question, I am not for sure how large your reel is but for the price it's worth the try, because they have saved me alot of money in reel repair. I would take the chance and buy one to see you can always return it.
I have same problem you have. To save your money and gift here's what I do. Loosen the handle and put it in the folded position and then place the cover over the reel works great for me and this way I am protecting my handle also. It only takes a few seconds to fold the handle back into fishing position. It's worth a few seconds to save a reel. Hope this works for you. Good Luck
At the very least you will need to have some slack coming out of the reel. I suggested adding a slot or slit to the cover to take the line into consideration. Would not trade having to re-rig in order to use reel cover unless it was for extended protection.
Since the top is made of neoprene I would say no. But, you have to willing to do 1 or 2 things to be comfortable with it. Here are the 2 best ways I've found.
1. just loosen the line slightly., if your rig can indure some slack without snagging or tangling you'll be fine. 2. Or you can try this (I did). Use a razor and slice a 1, 1-1/2 inch slit into the neoprene from the line inward. Then use a 1/16 size bit to put a hole at the end of the cut ( or try a very small "X" cut). The line threads easily through. The razor allows the neo to seal back together without a gap for the line to slide in and out of. Give it a try!
