Rated 4 out of 5 by Does a good job These are so much better than the cam-lock style (I think that's a good description). These tie downs on my trailer/Smokercraft Osprey Deluxe setup WILL scratch the paint (everything else does), so I pad them. Other than that, they work great. They are easy to use and they seem very secure. Tightening the straps on a shifting load is a snap, and the boat seems welded to the trailer when these babys are cinched down. I am very glad I found them. July 27, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ratchet Straps I will never use any other type of boat tie down after having these - the buckle type straps that are on the market are worthless compared to these. Super easy to use, heavy duty, and the ratchet is beefy. I looked for something similar in every store I could find but had no luck....Bass Pro came through! June 23, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by typical tiiedowns what can anyone say about tiedowns. they look like they will do the job of holding the boat on the trailer and work about like the rest of them. so, i call them typical tiedowns. June 2, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Purchase After reviewing many transom tie-downs, I selected the BPS Ratchet Transom Tie-Downs. They are very easy to use and seem to be extremely strong. I was concerned from previous reviews that the ratchet would scratch my fiberglass hull. However, that is not the case. It does not rub at all. Now, my boat is secured to the trailer and I don't have any concerns. This is a very good product for the cost. I would highly recommend it to anyone. June 2, 2010

The range from my boat to my trailer is fairly short. I have purchased two other tie down sets to replace the wearing ones I have. I could not make either of the ones I purchased short enough to hold tight. Thanks

If the strap is long pull the end through the rachet slot and wind up. Its ok if the strap double up on the wind as long as the strap is not supper long.
