Bass Pro Shops Pyramid Lead Sinkers
sand is better
I used these in the Niobrara river last year. I used a 3-4oz. They work great. Then i tried them in a more rocky bottom area, ah not so great. I'm not trying to pick on this style, but felt they got snagged more often. In a sandy bottom they seemed to hold really well. I guess you could make the sang issue for any weights.

Greatest bottom fishing weight on the market
Bang for your buck, you won't do better than these. I was fishing for "sweet lips" off of Diego Garcia and ran a tri-swivel with the weight about 12 inches of the bottom swivel.
I never got caught on the bottom and I reeled them in like there was no tomorrow.
True value for an excellent product!

Its a sinker!
Last year when i went to surf fish i didnt really know not to use my plain old catfishing sinkers. the round ones just roll right back up on the beach in heavy surf. I got these in 4oz and they work great. its like having a boat anchor out there. Keep them away from rocks as they will hang up.

i cannot explain how much i love these guys here they work a little too good i get tired of reeling in too many catfish. i don't understand why people fishing with alot of rocks and timber would use these they are made for sand and mud. but personally my favorite sinkers in the 2oz weight
