Rated 5 out of 5 by Great motor I bought this motor for my canoe because they were out of the fresh water model that day and, to have that model shipped to my house it was a break even deal. It is a bit over kill for thrust for my 16' Old Town Canoe but I was concerned about the winds that blow on my reservoir from time to time. This is mounted with the Bass Pro Shop canoe motor mount that too has worked great. I have used this motor now for three seasons and it has worked great so far. Yes it does wobble if you go too fast but I don't have a problem with that. I would recommend that you secure this motor with a lanyard to be save. December 24, 2013

A:
You would be best advised to use a deep Cycle battery with devices that you will use daily and recharge. These batteries are specifically designed for this type of use.
