Rated 4 out of 5 by opencontainer Very satisfied
After reading mixed reviews, I purchased this because of the reasonable price. Very happy with this motor! I did read other reviews regarding battery use and found that if you purchase the right Battery, you can troll all day without issues and it is true. At 55lbs. of thrust, I expected it to use much more power then im use to. I have fished many times with 2 people in an 11ft boat trolling almost non-stop for 5 hrs with live well and fish finder and still had my battery meter at 4.This motor pushes my boat very well in all conditions. The only complaint I would have about this motor is that it is a bit noisier then other trolling motors I have had. Overall, Very happy! Battery used is a 79 amp hour. Not cheap but worth it!

Yeah, it worked for a year and then the next year it started melting batteries. I should have bought the Minn Kota.

This trolling motor is awesome. It is a must on large, windy lakes where gasoline engines are not allowed. I was impressed with it's ability to get me on the fishing grounds and back to the boat launch in the toughest conditions. And, the price is a steal compared to other motors. There is only one reason I didn't give it 5 stars: It is a battery killer! Get a second battery as a back-up.

I bought this product while on sale. Reviews were mixed, so I took a chance. I have been totally satisfied with this trolling motor. It is mounted to a Tracker 14' Jon boat. I am a full size adult (XXL t-shirts) and it powers through the water with ease. I have even fished with my brother who is also full sized. The trolling motor is connected to a EverStart 27DC-6 Marine Battery. No complaints and the battery last all day.

There is a plastic sleeve on the shaft on the upper end of the clamp along with a piece of spring steel that tightens on the shaft to control the tension for steering. Both of those pieces are missing from my motor. Have used it twice and noticed they were gone.Answers

21ft pontoon. I'm wanting to know if the shaft is long enough for a pontoon. Gift for hubby and I have no idea if it will work. He only fishes a few times a year so minimal use.Answers

Yes. Go with the 55# thrust model with the 42" shaft. This is the most powerful model you can buy that will run off a single marine battery, and the longer shaft should be plenty to reach down into the water from a pontoon. Hope he likes it!Details:
Can different size shafts be ordered for this trolling motor? We need it to mount up on a bowfishing deck, but reach the water. The length it is, won't work.Answers

I have a 12.6' SeaEagle sport runabout inflatable that I'm going to use for fishing smaller AZ lakes. I am looking at the Traxxis variable speed 36-inch with 55lbs of thrust. Is it worth the extra $200 to get that one or is this BPS Prowler the better option? Any insight is definitely appreciated!Answers
A:
I would buy the prowler, the thrust is more than you need for that size boat.Quality is good.
