Yes. It has slanted pockets on the sides, flap velcro pockets on the front, and another pocket that unzips in the middle (underneath the main vertical zipper) on the chest.

I read somewhere the cuff are really tight, to the point of being uncomfortable for a person with a large wrist.

Initially I too felt cuffs were uncomfortable because they fit tighter than any cuff I had worn before but within a few minutes i did not even notice them at all. I fished seven hours with this jacket my first day with no issues

They can be yes. Especially if you have large wrists.

As for gloves being worn with the jacket, no problem.
