Man where do I start on this one, just got my full pro qualifier hookup (jacket/bib) on Tuesday two days ahead of expected delivery date. Hung my new rain gear in the closet and was figuring I would not get to test it our for a few months weather here should be getting warmer it's April 5th. Well today (Thursday) I got off work after half a day unexpectedly and then as luck would have it I got a call to hit up the California delta to Bass fish with a friend.
Only been on the Delta a few times and I was not about to miss this opportunity to go out in early April. Grabbed my new Pro Qualifier jacket thinking I probably wouldn't need it but what the heck. Man was I glad I did. We got on the water with a light breeze but ended up having to take cover from an approaching rain storm , which was not forecasted by our local weather folks.
Man am I glad I brought this jacket from the second I put it on at the dock I noticed a major different from my other so called rain gear. No wind, no cold, no water on me at all for 7 hours. In fact at one point I did get cold and thought thats odd there must be a timer in this jacket that stops all of the protection because I was getting cold suddenly. After a few minutes I realized when i adjusted my life vest I unzipped my jacket. I know stupid me. once re-zipped up again I was good to go again.
I hesitated for over a year because of price and what appeared to be filmsy light weight material at first. I didn't know much about Gortex initially but have since learned more. take my advice, if can you swing the funds get a pro qualifier jacket and bib set. After one day on the California Delta in 15 to 20 MPH winds and rain I am glad I did and you will be too.
I am looking forward to more rainy days on the Delta now that I know my pro qualifier rain gear can keep me warm and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Keiffer158 great stuff
I did not get to use the rain gear in the rain but fishing Lake Erie in a bass boat can be moist. I was making 45 minute runs to the islands in 3-4 footers and taking spray the whole time. Even at 25 mph the only time I got wet inside the jacket was when a wave came over the front and hit me square in the face letting a little water run down my chest. But that was it the rest of the time it was dry as a bone. It was also a little cold and in flatter water running 60 mph the wind could cut through my buddies jacket but not this stuff. Along with dry I was warm the whole time. The hood stayed up and was snug with no flap at all even at top speeds. As far as "going #1" there was no problems in this suit. Plenty of zipper space to allow this common fishing activity to take place without issue. This stuff is also tough, comfortable and looks good on top of that. Spend the money and get it. You wont need another pair for years.

I'm 6'2" weight 275 got 3X plenty of room, probably could have gotten away with 2X, but would suggest the 3XA:Â
I'm 6ft 200lb and the XL fits fine.A:Â
I am 5'9" and 210lbs, and I got the XL. Being 6'1", U might want to look at XXL if you plan to wear it over a lot of clothing. If not, XL should fit.
A:Â
The bibs should be ordered for your waist size, the jacket should be ordered in the size you normally wear in a jacket. The waist measurements are as below
XL - 40"-42"
2XL - 44"-46"
3XL - 48"-50"

Get a large in bothA:Â
I am 5' 9" and 180 lbs, I bought both the jacket and bibs in the large size. both fit well, the bibs are a bit long so the straps are adjusted all the way but fit just fine. I feel an extra large would have been to big and a medium would have been to small.A:Â
I'm 6' 175lbs and tried on both a larger and medium. Both fit me pretty well, and I probably could have gone with either one, though I ultimately went with the large which I am very happy with. I was surprised they were so similar in size. Anyway, based on you size, I would go with the larger. (Also see my on-line review - Carlisle123)A:Â
I'm about the same size as you are and I went with a large and fits just fine and you can still get layers on under it if you fish in the winter.A:Â
XL. I got XL and I am 5'9"/210lbs. Fits great.A:Â
Medium jacket/parka and medium bibs. Fits comfortably and not too big, and not too tight either. I'm 5'10" 185 pounds.A:Â

Yes. It has slanted pockets on the sides, flap velcro pockets on the front, and another pocket that unzips in the middle (underneath the main vertical zipper) on the chest.Answers

I read somewhere the cuff are really tight, to the point of being uncomfortable for a person with a large wrist.Answers
A:Â
I have large wrists and had no comfort issues with the jacket even throwing a jerk bait for 8-10 hours a day. I also wore a pair of seal skin waterproof gloves with the jacket which worked out great. The neoprene cuff seals out the water and the Velcro outer layer cuff could then be pulled tight around the glove cuff to keep everything dry and warm. I think Bass Pro has thought of everything with this rain gear.A:Â
I wear gloves with mine no problem. The cuffs may be a little tight but you'll like them in the wind.A:Â
Initially I too felt cuffs were uncomfortable because they fit tighter than any cuff I had worn before but within a few minutes i did not even notice them at all. I fished seven hours with this jacket my first day with no issues1 of 1
