Bass Pro Shops Premium Round Split Shot Weights
More Snag Proof
I use these because they are less likely to snag weeds or debris when split shotting a senko over weed beds or anywhere a split shot is needed. The removable type have the v-notched ears that will snag in many types of cover. Anyone that has problems with their weight sliding down their line should use pliers to ensure a good snug fit when using any type of split shot. My catch ratio increased when I started using these round split shots over the removable type.

BPS has Clam Shot which I like better for using on line b/c the oval shape comes thru grass/rocks much better. I use these round shot for crimping on hooks to make wacky jigs. they are kind of hollow so they crush nicely. I can see why other guys don't like putting them on their line b/c of the hollowness. I would not use them on my line.

big split shot
I use these when "live lining" for striped bass in the Chesapeake bay. They are handy for adding a little weight on the leader, usefull when the tide is running especially hard to get the bait down to the fish. They are just as easily removed when the current slows down. The soft lead is malliable and holds well on the leader without damaging the mono.

best splitshot I have found
When squeezed on line central groove does not compress and damage line. 1-4 BB size are excellent against the head of a plastic worm, and the weight of one BB can make a lot of difference. Small diameter of BB size works through cover and moss much easier. Also, BB size can be squeezed on line with finger pressure alone.
