The paint job should have been better for a premium jig. Good Gamu red hooks though.

I've used these jig heads for pan fish with good results for years. I keep a supply of several sizes on hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 easy on light line
when you don't have to punch paint out of eyes and you use light line (4lb) it allows you to catch more fish before retying since the eye is smooth and not roughed up from paint punches (knots last longer with light line).

I purchased the premium jig heads in order to get a larger hook size on a good crappie jig. I am pleased with the hook size, but disappointed with the collar barb. It is not pronounced enough to do a good job of holding a tube or action soft plastic in place. It is the same type of collar you see on the lower quality jigs. For the extra money and to truly be a premium jig head, the collar should be superior to other jigs.

I use 1/32 and 1/16 exclusively. The 1/32 will do great in very shallow water and fishing the top of the water column. The 1/16 is the heaviest I use. I mainly cast jigs with an ultra-light rod and a small Shimano spinning reel. A 1/8 would be good for deeper fishing and vertical jigging. Hope this helps.A:Â
Here in Ky where we fish the creeks off the Ohio river and small reservoirs I do really well with the 1-1/2" jigs on a 1/32 or 1/16 jighead, also like the 2" tubes withe the same jigheads, use with a small float and fill the boat. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!1 of 1
