Tackle big fish like catfish, striper, and largemouth bass. These rods have plenty of backbone and muscle, yet without large diameters and weight. The secret is in the unidirectional fiberglass construction that eliminates the layering normally found in fiberglass rods. This process also adds flexibility, eliminating premature breakage and stress on the wrist. Features an extended EVA foam handle, for extra power and fighting leverage, that easily fits in rod holders, heavy-duty double foot aluminum oxide guides, hook keeper for pre-rigging and sensitive graphite reel seat. All rods are 2 piece. Guide number includes tip.
Action:
MH = Medium Heavy
H = Heavy
Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 29 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by great muskie rod Bought 2 of these and put my 2 Garcia 5500C's on them, to use for Musky trolling. I have had no problem at all! They will handle BIG fish without any problem. I would recommend them to everyone February 21, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Power Plus 7.5' Rod Great rod for the price. Great strength of rod for Catfish. February 9, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good, Stout Rod!! This rod is heavy duty...perfect for cranking, or flipping...plenty of backbone to this rod, you will not be disappointed... January 31, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for winter blues!! I paired the 7 foot version up with my Abu-Garcia 6000 Red Reel. Good match for chasing big catfish. My only gripe about the rod is the reel seat is not the best but still a great rod for the price. Huge backbone with enough give in the tip to launch bait. I'm going to make my next Trophy Plus my bass jig/frog rod! Under 20$ too. Too easy. Get one. January 28, 2011

Any Abu Garcia with a bait clicker or any other casting reel with a bait clicker. This would be the perfect bottom fishing set up for larger bodies of water. Too big for a pond.
