Our advanced process combines graphite with fiberglass for superior flexibility and strength. The Bass Pro Shops® Power Plus™ Graphite Trigger Rod is sensitive enough to detect light nibbles; accurate enough for long casts with full control. Lightweight design for easy all-day use. Ideal for light angling, especially for crappie and panfish, but ready to go toe-to-toe with those big bass and walleye, too! We've probably priced them too low--because these rods not only look great, they fish better than many rods costing twice as much. Equipped with comfy EVA foam grips and smooth ceramic line guides.

Great Rod I bought this Power Plus MedHeavy action Rod for my gf over 3 years ago and its still in great shape no guide damage and the finish is still great it has a lot of backbone and is still sensitive enough to feel the bites I use it sometimes because it works so awesome with spincasting gear I use it to throw small spinner baits and worms on occasion , have caught well over 100 fish on it and its like new. I would buy this product again if it is the same its worth picking one up if you dont have one. May 26, 2014
Power Plus™ Graphite Trigger Rod I have had this same rod for about 2 years when I broke the tip off. I did a fix so I could keep using the rod. This is how much I like it. Bought 2 new ones, exactly the same, to have as backups or in case they ever stop making this rod. Such a great price for such a great rod. December 11, 2013
Can't beat em Proud owner of 2 of them fished all summer and love them. I use them for spinners, jerk baits, crank baits and jigs. December 27, 2011
great fishing pole I was looking for a cheap fishing pole to set up for catfishing. I saw the price and figured you can't beat twenty dollars. All I can say is that was the best twenty dollars I have ever spent! I'll definitely be getting another one (or two) soon to replace some of my older poles. Very sensitive and sturdy. I'm sure it will be around for a long, long time. September 12, 2011

A:
I would not recommend the power plus rods. Use the Brawler. Why? The Brawler is the same type of construction as the ugly stick, lower retail, and would work as good as the ugly stick.

A:
Certainly. Most of the new braided lines are not abraisive at all. These inexpensive rods hold up very well. Unless you step on one... guilty.
