GFN Covers Good For Nothing... Unless you have small reels with fold away handles or a fly reel this cover will not fit a thing you have. I am referring to the larger version as well. Too bad because the material is awesome. Get a design that fits or make them bigger. Until then don't waist your money. November 23, 2014
Reel cover for ultralight spinning reels only I own several sized spinning reels. I only own spinning reels so I am not discussing baitcasters or others. This cover only fits my ultralight spinning reels while they are on the pole. The situation might be different if the reel is off the pole. But while on the pole, this only fits my ultralight reels. It does not fit my mid-sized or larger-sized reels. Reel covers are not that different than a human being's shoes . . . you have to find the one that fits. But this product protects my ultralight gear very well. It is a little bulky, but it does the job well. The price is right. For my larger spinning reels, I am using the BPS product "Offshore Angler." The Offshore Angler cover is big and it fits those big reels. For my mid-sized reels, I am using an even a different product (mid-sized) that fits best the mid-sized spinning reel. All reels are on their respective poles. Good luck. March 31, 2014
flying off the handle looks good and does work. but you have to un screw the handle to put it on. July 9, 2013

I'm not sure what brand you're talking about but I have no problem with my size 35 shakespeares or my daiwa BG15's as long as I fold the handles... Even the larger reels like a 750 penn will fit if you fold the handle AND the bail.

You might fit it in but you won't get the seal you need to protect if from dust, rain, etc. I use the Bass Pro spinning reel covers and just place them inside a draw string bag. Bass Pro might want to think about that.

They will fit small to medium size spinning reels.

I have one and it fits a Pflueger 6740 XT with the reel handle folded in. This is a medium size reel.

They will not fit the larger saltwater size reels though.
