Dosn't fit Unless I don't understand how to use this product it is pretty much useless. I slide over my rod and reel like pictured. It doesn't fit over any of my spinning reels. If I am doing something wrong please let me know. August 14, 2009
...so fast on and off the machenes ...like...i have two of these covers they are about the easiest covers to use and hold tight to the rod/machene.. ...butt...i use them on spincast and casting riggs only...they arent easy to use on spinning riggs most handles will inhibit the useage...though...most handles can be folded/taken off...i prefer to not to have to tighten/loosen my handles all over the place ...so...thats about the only drawback to this part keep them on baitcast and spincast riggs and they work out fine....and...just perhaps a tiny bit of padding...???...i mean...make the part a tiny bit bigger and then add a tiny bit of padding..???.. or not ..still a worthy part...i would score these again no problem... NICE COVER I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE COVERS FOR MY SPINCAST REELS AND IT COVERS AND WORKS EXCELLENT. I NEED TO BUY A FEW MORE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ITEM FOR REEL PROTECTION. March 30, 2009
Practical Prior to purchasing this reel cover I would just throw my reels in the back of the truck along with the junk of the month I was carrying. I noticed a friend had one and I asked him about it. Well he told me the benefits of protecting the reels and it made sense. I now own 5 and have bought three for my brother. The heat here in South Texas really harms the line and the bouncing around in the back of the truck along the senderos doesn't help either. This protects from both, especially when used with a Bass Pro slip on reel cover. March 15, 2010

I'm not sure what brand you're talking about but I have no problem with my size 35 shakespeares or my daiwa BG15's as long as I fold the handles... Even the larger reels like a 750 penn will fit if you fold the handle AND the bail.

You might fit it in but you won't get the seal you need to protect if from dust, rain, etc. I use the Bass Pro spinning reel covers and just place them inside a draw string bag. Bass Pro might want to think about that.

They will fit small to medium size spinning reels.

I have one and it fits a Pflueger 6740 XT with the reel handle folded in. This is a medium size reel.

They will not fit the larger saltwater size reels though.
