This rope is flat, not round and would not work well with my anchor system ( flat rope, round roller )

I bought this rope to make short tethers with carabiners so we could clip ourselves to the boat when floating in the lake. For this purpose the rope works fine. It's not buoyant enough to float the aluminum carabiners I got but then again I didn't really expect it to. I did find it difficult to splice an eye into as the rope would pull out of itself no matter how long I made the splice. Ended up pulling the splice through, wrapping around the rope and going back in the way it came.

I bought this online site unseen. It will do the job for a small boat and anchor. I would not recommend it for a larger boat or heavy current or windy conditions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by XP100 Modest floating characteristics
I bought this product with the intention of using it to mark a dive spot during my abalone dives. Other divers that I partner with use another product by National Divers which displays more robust floating characteristics. I did not use this product because my diving partner demonstrated the side by side performance difference (he owns both products) and the braided line took a long time to rise to the surface and the anchor weight was never directly below the spot where the line came to the surface or even close to it. This product may effectively serve the customer well in another application, but I ended up buying National Diver's float line.
