The quality of these hooks is excellent, they don't bend when you get a good fish on the line like some of the other less expensive jigheads. The paint does chip off rather easily but I am fishing rocky ledges in a river with them so its to be expected. I use the 32nd oz with the 2" tripple ripple grub in white and it just slays the smallies, "red eyes" and brim in the New River. Have caught the occasional rainbow trout with them too. Just get some you won't be disappointed.

These jigs are awesome, I fish small rivers (in central Wisconsin) for Walleye and Smallies, there are a lot of rocks and snags, they hold up well paint stays on and hooks give a bit when hooked rocks, I have used these for years and will keep on using them.

I like to use the BPS Squirt head with the red hook. They are offered in several weights and also with gold hooks. These have the smaller hooks for crappie and panfish.Top 100 Contributor

The have jig heads specifically for the squirman squirts that fit inside those hollow baits called "squirt heads". I think they are listed under BPS leadheads. Thats what I would use instead of these. I would use these on solid grubs like the triple ripple and curly tails.Top 50 Contributor
