Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Weights I don't get why some lead weights are so expensive. This weight works just as good as all of the other ones. It has a nice fall rate and really improves my fishing. Great prices :) I mean its a lead weight, how can you go wrong? January 1, 2011

There is a 1/8oz pack of 12 and a pack of 30 so if you ordered the 12 there is 12 30 in the 30 pack.

I heard that the production of lead weights is going to be stopped because of the environmental impact. Does anyone know if this is this true?

The use of lead weights varies from State to State, and lake to lake be sure and check fishing regulations if you are uncertain, the ban of lead weights will most often be posted near a boat ramp if lead weights are prohibited.

What I've researched is it will not be stopped but there may be stricter regulations on size. for example: a lake might say weights of 1/2oz and above should be tungsten. i am not 100% on this

I believe lead weights under a certain size, such as 1/2 oz. are being targeted as ducks and water birds will consume them. Larger weights have not been on the radar, at least on the West Coast.

I really don't think so. You may see some stuff come up regarding water fowl, but as far as fishing I think lead is her to stay.
