I have bought many packs of these basic jigs over the years and have been very pleased with the results. Unfortunately my latest purchase seems to have resulted in a slightly lower quality of hook. Numerous times during a recent Canadian fishing trip I had hooks that were bent after reeling in fish and had to use my pliers many times during the trip to straighten hooks. While I caught a lot of fish I have never had to do this to the extent I did with the latest batch. My guess is that they are of built with poorer quality hooks. I'll probably buy another batch but will be watching for improvements.

Decent Heads for the Price
I have been fishing long before the advent of extremely sharp out of the box hooks...whether I was using jig & pig, rubber worms, catfishing or whatever. The practice and process of sharpening hooks is something I've always done. I have purchased these jig heads many times over the years and I sharpen them as needed as these jig heads need to be sharpened prior to use. That's the reason for my four star rating, but for the money and the thirty seconds it takes to sharpen one they are worth the price. Though I have the lead molds to make these, at about 18 cents each the Bass Pro heads are a good deal.

Poor Craftsmanship on this Jig
These are really attractively colored jigheads, however there is hardly any barb to hold on a tube jig with and the eyes were each filled with paint, I could, if I wanted to, work arround the paint but I refuse to deal with a tube jig that wont stay on the jighead, sorry poor quality on this one!!!
