This one is nice and heavy as well as stable so while I'm canning I have no worries about the pot tipping and burning me or my grandkids. September 6, 2012

The burner is a nice heavy cast iron. I've never heard it described as a banjo style, but yes, it looks like a banjo shape.

It is made for use with a propane tank, just like your grill.

You would need a special adaptor to conver it.
