Tried it Today I bought this anchor because of its compact size and stowability. My boat weighs 250 lbs and the 10 pounder dug in and held on first try. August 21, 2010
OK these anchors are ok but I don't like the fact that they're designed to come apart, apparently for storage purposes March 6, 2012
fits my need Anchor well design, good weight, price was right. worked well on river and lake August 20, 2010

They come apart because the product is made cast in more than one piece and then put together. We have only heard of the pieces coming apart one time and that was in a store not while in use. Thanks!

Unless you're in really swift currents one 10 pounder will hold that boat, but for the price get two anyway. Can't go wrong.

The anchor size will depend on current, wind and the bottom structure. See link below for further assistance with Choosing the Right Anchor. Thanks
