this is awsome rod i paired the 7ft medhvy with the bassproshops musky angler reel and its great set up, i mostly cast for muskie but i do troll and the 7ft medhvy is waaay to short to be chuckin a bulldog or cowgirl not enough leverage its more a trolling rod. on second note i got the 8ft heavy and its evan better you can really chuck lures out there! it cast just as good as my brothers abugarcia torowinch with stcroix mojo musky

I have had this rod for my 2nd muskie season now and its great. I have the 8'6" med/heavy action 2 piece and its great. Ive used it to troll and cast for muskie. very good and durable.

This rod is great, I use it with my Revo STX for musky fishing and it is a great setup.
Can cast heavy swimbait and lure.. with the weight that comes with it you can easily balance the setup.
The only thing I'm not happy with is that it is heavy... but I guess all musky gears are like that.

Can this rod be used for saltwater fishing? If not can you recommend a rod that has the trigger style handle with similar specs? I want to use it with a vintage abu garcia 7000 ambasseduer reel!

You are listing these muskie rods as 4-10lb test and 1/16-1/2 oz lure rated rods. That isn't even in the ballpark for a muskie rod. Little Muskie lures start at 1 1/4oz and they go way up from there.Answers
