Bass Pro Shops Midweight Performance Thermal Crew Pants for Men
Versatile and comfortable
I use long underwear for hunting, work, Broncos games, etc. I have had one pair since I was in high school and I wanted to get a second pair. I was glad they had tall sizing as I am tall (6’8) and skinny. I got the XL Tall and they were a little big in the waist but it was not an issue and they were very close to being long enough, could be a little longer. The material is great though. Very comfortable and very effective in the cold. They also did not get too hot when I was inside and you can feel the quick evaporation working. Definitely an improvement to my old polyester pair.

Well - I hate the Hanes stuff that makes you feel like Peter Pan in tights...these are much more comfortable. Wore them in Fairbanks earlier this month (Dec12); -31F. Still have all my favorite parts so they must have worked. Not as warm as, say, Army-issue heavy-weight Polartec brownies, but good enough to keep your parts intact and allow you to go indoors without sweating. Think they'd work even better in less absurd conditions.

There are many similar products out there that cost a lot more, I tried some other more expensive ones that cost twice as much and I can't tell the difference. You could get some for 3-4 times the price, but I don't believe in magic. These work pretty good, I wear them to work every day, where the temperature ranges from -37 to +45C and they help me a lot, when you come out of the hot area they dry out in no time and in the cold they make a huge difference in keeping me warm.

Good, Not Great
Better than no base layer, but not great. They are comfortable, and the fit is good. For the price and for a midweight they are just average. With layers including base, pants, and outer, they are good. With just the thermal and pants they don't perform well compared to others. < 15 deg better find something else.
