Bass Pro Shops Micro Lite Graphite Spinning Rod
When I first purchased these rods they were $19.99 and had Fuji eyes. That first year I bought a total of 8, 2 for me and the rest were gifts. They got such rave reviews I bought more over the years to give as gifts. The newer style is a little lacking in cosmetics with the new style eyes and reel seat but perform just as well as my older models which have caught trout to 14 pounds catfish to 24 pounds and bass to 9 pounds on the older style rods. Received the new rods rated 4-10 on saturday 4/09/11 My brother and I and put them to use on sunday by catching 7 cats to 6 pound, 5 bass to 4 pounds and a couple of trout. The rod performace was outstanding! Looking to get more as gifts for christmas....Great rods.

7 1/2 UL is the best!
Ok guys I have another review here that says that these are great rods , however I know that they are the best rod for the money anywhere.
Today Fathers day 2010 I caught a 57 1/2 pound yellow / flat head carfish on this rod useing 8 pound bass pro flourocarbon line.
It was a hour and a half fight and the things this rod and their line endured during this time has me amazed. There were times when trying to land him by hand that the tip and the butt were inches apart.
I have other bass pro rods that cost more but I like the light weight and overall feel of this rod best. By all means buy one and take care of it and it will last you a very long time.

Good rod for the price
Good basic rod for the price, especially when it's on sale. I have the 8-1/2 foot float 'n fly model, and have used it for 3 years now. Because this is a visual technique, I can't say a lot about the sensitivity of the rod. And I don't use it year-round, just in the early spring and mid to late fall, so I haven't put it through years of hard use yet. But it has handled plenty of smallies up to 4 pounds well, and several largemouth to near that size. The length of the float 'n fly model has lots of "give" to work the fish. I could see the standard-size models being good for panfish, trout, or other smaller gamefish.
