Rated 5 out of 5 by Best hiking rod for the money This is the 2nd one I bought the first lasted 6 years till I tripped and broke the tip (wish they would just sell that then I'd have 2) I've caught 24" rainbows in fast water with no problems the action is good , I like it so much gave up my other trout rods and use it on all my trout fishing trips, if it had a hard light weight case would be the only improvement needed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Pack-able Rod This is a great 4 piece rod. The Johnny Morris JM10 spinning reel fit perfectly on this rod. Used it for wade fishing for trout. Pulled in several with this rod. It casted light weight lures easily. December 8, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by poor quality and workmanship The hardware used to secure the reel to the rod was so poorly made that the rod could not be used. Worst mail order purchase ever. May 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Unbeatable I use these rods fishing rainbow, steelhead and silver salmon. I have used them for about 5 years in alaska. being a ultralite fisherman the microlite out does all for the price. look at the picture's it speak's a thousand words. P.S. still have not broken one yet!! need to go back to making the 81/2' I fish the 6' thru 81/2' and they all preform outstanding. September 20, 2010

A:
This rod isn't technically a fly rod, its meant fly rod in the fact you can cast super light tackle with this pole, use small line around 4# test and it will be a great pole.
