I bought this rod,(5'6"light), and the 1st time I used it, I fell in love with it. It has great action, and alot of "backbone" to handle the bigger fish. With it being a fast action tip it will set the hook and still have plenty of power to fight the fish.
The rod stores nicely in it's little sock. I drive OTR, so it does not take up much room in the truck. The clear plastic case is NOT the greatest, wish it had a different type of case, maybe a harder plastic.
Over all, For the money this is a great rod.
Thumps up for BPS on this rod.

I have used this rod twice since it arrived 2 weeks ago for walleye and was very impressed with its sensitivity and power. I have 4 St. Croix rods that cost 2 to 3 times more and I would rate it very close to them as a great substitute when I need the small size of a travel rod. I mainly bought it to take to Alaska this summer for trout steams only accesable by orv. Very nice for the price. The rod tube is some what limited to protecting it but the price is right on.

I haven't actually used this rod yet, but it looks to be good quality and feels well balanced in hand. I like the cork handle, and the rod has a nice sock which holds all 3 pieces. The tube it came in is just clear plastic. It would have been a huge bonus if it were Aluminum, but for $50 it is a good deal.

I've had the 5'6" UL 3 piece model for a few years, and I must say it's one of my favorite rods. Very tight at the connections, not creaky or clunky like some multi-piece rods can be. I have it paired with a mitchell copperhead reel and 4 lb flourocarbon. I've caught hard fighting bass, cats, and carp as well as light biting stream trout and panfish on this and it hasn't disappointed. The only thing that could make this pack rod better is the "case". It comes with a lightweight nylon sleeve with 3 slots, one for each piece, and a plastic tube, (more for shipping/store display) but a higher quality case can be acquired. This rod is very light, it won't wear you out packing it in or casting with it all day.
