Great Travel Rod
This is a very good rod. Caught a 5 lb. bass with it the first time I had it out. Landed the bass without a problem. The rod and case are well made to, dropped it off my motorcycle - except for a scrape or two on the case, the rod is fine.

Great pack rod
I used to have a fenwick GT pack rod, my friend broke it by accident so I bought a micro lite 6' light action one, I am very glad I did!
This rod is light, sensitive, and enough backbone for big fish. Even it is a 3 piece rod but actually the sensitivity is as good as some 2 piece ones(or even better). I also have a BPS Extreme pack rod( Medium action), yes, compare to Extreme the Micro Lite is IM6 and it doesn't have good quality guides but I think it doesn't really affect the performance that much. And Micro Lite is cheaper~~
The plastic case which come with the rod is not fantasy, but good enough for me, it do can protect the rod under light condition.
If you need a pack rod, and you are trying to catch small to medium size fish, go get this one.

Good rod for the price
I used this rod for several hours per day for over a week. It performed well. I think that the three-piece design gives it more integrity than the two four-piece rods I've owned and used quite a bit.
Good fit and finish, especially for the price.

Rod seems real nice. Case it comes in was a waste of time even making.

I have the 4pc rod with a micro reel (item # MLE25F) and the whole setup including the spool full of line is just under 12oz. I didn't measure the reel separately, but it is listed at 5oz, so the 4pc rod is probably somewhere around 7oz.
my 6' light rod rated for 2-8lb test snapped below bottom eyelet while i was fighting a muskie .... and i had 6 lb mono on. You can try it, but don't be surprised if it breaks in the middle of a fight.
I would go with the Pflueger 4410U or 6720X.Great reels to compliment the rod at affordable prices.the first is a closed face spinner.(underspinner) and the other is the president series for about 50 bucks.the underspinner is about 25 dollars.for the additional $25 the president boasts 5 ball bearings.
