Advanced technology in a lightweight rod built for chasing panfish and trout. Bonded high-density tubular glass construction has just the right amount of flex for tossing light baits, and enough muscle to tame a bull gill heading for the brush. Outfitted with one double footed guide, a comfortable cushioned cork handle, aluminum reel seats, plus a handy hook keeper on every model.

best pole for $20 this is the most amazing fishing pole for $20 ever!!! it is really flexibile, you can feel the tiniest nibbles and it casts great. November 1, 2010
Great little yellow rod. This rod has been really good to me this crappie season and now it's taking on the bluegills and redears just as good. If you really love panfish like me and don't want to break the bank buying a quality rod, then this one is probably you're safest bet. It's got all the sensitivity to see any hit! May 18, 2010

Yes, but to be honest I would spend 20 more dollars and get a BPS Micro Lite graphite rod. They are very lightweight and very fun to catch fish with. Id buy a spinning reel and you can go to town catching panfish and have a great fight if you hook a bass.

A:
you can use it for any type of fishing but that doesnt mean it will work, but chances are most of the fish in salt water are too big for an ultra light pole
