Rated 5 out of 5Â by Alaskan Traveler Excellent product
My husband and I each bought this jacket and the matching rain pants for a recent trip to southeast Alaska. It rained much of the time we were there and the rain gear basically saved our trip! It kept us dry and comfortable whether we were on the water in small boats, rafts or large ferries, hiking in the hillls or just wandering through the small towns on foot. This weekend we used the rain gear again on a wet camping trip in Iowa. Taking down our tent camper in the rain was relatively easy as we stayed dry. We would highly recommend this rain gear to anyone who is looking for lightweight rain protection.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Fred34 Rain Jacket
Used this jacket on my last fishing trip and it did it's job and kept me dry during the rain, however after the rain a little humidity set in I was instantly hot and couldn't wait to get it off. It doesn't breath very well. Over all though the price was right and like I said it did what it was designed to do.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Tlk1980 DO NOT PURCHASE
Do not purchase this raincoat. I purchased it 4 years ago and the plastic lining inside the coat is peeling away. I have hand washed this and let it drip dry. I liked the idea of a bass pro brand jacket. I figured that they would stand by their product. I called customer service only to be informed that this product only has a one year warranty. I thought that was crazy. This jacket cost me $40.00 new and I thought that price was high, but I said before I bought the bass pro brand because I thought it would be a good product. DO NOT BUY

Rated 5 out of 5Â by WallyB Very good water proof jacket
This jacket is very decent, especially for the price. The jacket is well constructed and needless to say water proof. It has two decent (and large) pockets that can hold lots of stuff. I did buy one two years ago and bought another two due to the value vs price paid. I highly recommend this jacket.

The waterproof coating is flaking off my jacket. Can it be re-waterproofed using silicone spray?

The coating is flaking off in high wear areas like the shoulders, elbows, and the hood where the push button adjustment thing is.The jacket is about 5 years old and has been great until the rain we got today.

For several year I have had a similar set of raingear like this that each piece packs into its own "pocket" which makes them easy to carry in a back pack on the trail. I was wondering do these do the same? I'm looking for something inexpensive and compact for my scout to carry on a weeklong trip. Thanks!Answers
A:Â
These dont pack into their own pocket, but they will compress down into a small pouch. I keep mine in an outside pocket of my day pack.A:Â
the jacket you can rool it up into its hood and fits perfect! verylight weight too!A:Â
It does not fit into its own pocket, but it rolls up nicely into the attached hood. I think it would work great in a back pack. It Just for fun, I tried to roll it up and got it to about 8.5 inches by 3 inches...and it would prbably go smaller too.A:Â

How does the size run on this jacket? I normally wear a large but if I want to layer under, should I get an extra large.?My chest is 40-42, I am afraid X-large, fiting 46-48 may be too large.

A:Â
my chest is about the same, and i can wear it in a t-shirt without it looking like a bubble,or wear it with a tee, longjons, and a hoodie, and u still have room. the draw strings alow u to make it fit accordingly.go XL all the way!
A:Â
I bought the size L and it fits with room for layering underneath. I have a 44 inch chest so I would recommend the L for you as well.A:Â
Buy normal size, will accept underlayer without problem. I'm an XL, often buy XXL jackets but bought the XL here and have worn sweat shirts and hoodies with success.Answers

not lined, very light weight but durable.A:Â
no it isnt, very lightweight but performs wellA:Â
no liner, which also makes it cold on bear skin, but very lightA:Â
The jacket is not lined, however it does have a nice vented area along the middle of the back/shoulders. It weighs about 11 ounces. It has velcro straps at the wrists and drawstrings at the bottom and neck.A:Â
No lining, very light, imperceptible weight but rip stop nylon, seems durable.
