My daughter used the life jacket at the beach for the first time today and she love it. The life jacket worked well and kept her above the water. The only down side is the leg strap, it kept rubbing on her cause discomfort, other than that it worked well.

I just received this vest in the mail. I'd put this vest on small grade school kids.

The child size is designed for 30-50 lbs as well (the drop down is a bit confusing). I do see that there is a different selection, however, the only difference is the design of the vest. The vest listed as 30-50 lbs is the Pirate design, and the vest listed as child is the Princess design.1 of 1
