I bought this for my pit bull mix who loves to swim but has hip dysplasia, it gives her the support she needs to keep going.
The only thing is that the d ring is not attatched well enough if your do pulls it rips, it needs more reinforcement and I am not sure I could completely lift her out of the water with the handle.
sizing was dead on when I normally have trouble because she is a mixed breed.

My 15 year old Lab loves to swim, but I worried about him tiring while out in deep water. The flotation vest allows him to have a great time swimming and me to have some peace of mind. The store only had an X-large in stock. It's a bit big, but we didn't want to wait for a large to be stocked. We need to take advantage of swimming weather when we can!

I went kayaking with my dachshund and he was wearing the small life vest. It worked great. He fell in a few times and the handle worked well to pick him up and put him back on the boat.

If she is full grown go with the medium. If she is still growing go with the large. Our 60 lbs Doberman puppy was almost too buoyant in the large but once she puts on weight it should work perfectly for her.
