I have several of the Carbonlite rod's and have been very happy with them. I just recieved the 7'2" Med spinning rod about two weeks ago, and once again I'm very pleased. I also have the 6'9" Med/Lite that I use for drop shot only, so I got this one for Split Shotting, an occasional Senko, and Wacky worm's. The extra length and Med action has been perfect for setting the hook at longer distance. I also really like the way the rod balances with a 2500 size reel, and how the rod lays in my hand. Get one if you use a spinning rod in open water where a 7'2" won't get in the way! By the way, I have not tried it yet, but I'm sure it will work fine as a Drop Shot rod also when I fish as a back seatter and can't bring everything.

I purchased this rod for Father's Day I have used it only 1 time but I have a casting rod also that i have used several times and they are very light and strong I wish they were around years ago when I starting buying rods. I will replace all my other rods with these as I need to. They are a very nice rod to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cr593 great buy for the money
I bought my first Carbonlite 7ft.medium action spinning rod about a year ago. It's light, sensitive, and has a great feel in your hand. On a fishing trip to northern Wisconsin, I let my grandson use this rod. This rod had no problem landing 4lb. smallmouth. He will probably want to use this rod all the time now!
