The Bass Pro Shops Interlock Snaps allow anglers to quickly change lures without having to re-tie a knot each time the conditions dictate a lure change. Our Interlock Snaps are very easy to use and deliver the heavy-duty strength to withstand strikes from hard hitting fish. Available with black or nickel finish.
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor in saltwater After 1 month continuous use in saltwater, the metal tab meant to lock in the wire breaks off due to the corrosion (even with freshwater rinsing). If you are a saltwater fisherperson, you are better off with the Bass Snap or something else that doesn't depend on a thin, breakable piece to keep your leader attached. December 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by 2 out of 5 broke over time I have not had any fail while landing a fish but after awhile when changing lures the tab will break off and I have to change it out. So far 2 out of 5 have had broken tabs. September 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good quality snaps. I use these snaps to make steel leaders, and to use to tie to my line, and they have performed well. September 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Handy Interlock Snaps This is a great way to change hooks or spoons without having to retie or break line. June 19, 2013

A:
I tested size 4 to 35Lbs, and I have made 40Lb steel leaders using them. I have also made 20Lb steel leaders using size 3 and I've tested them to 20 Lbs. They probably work to a higher pound test than 20 but I didn't want to break my 20Lb test steel wire trying.
